On a Personal Note

The other night I went to the Mets vs. Cardinals game with my family celebrating my Dad’s birthday! It was really fun! We did some cool stuff at Citi Field. We even got to go into the control room! When I grow up, I really want to be a sportscaster and blogger, so this was an awesome experience.  In the room, my brother and I pushed a button to put up the prestigious, Mets Home Run Apple in Center Field! It was really cool! I was also amazed at how much technology there was in the room! (Too many T.V’s for me 🙂 !)  The game was awesome and was great to see the Mets win! (Even though it was COOOOOLLLLLLLLD) I had a great time and experience. Thanks to my parents for taking me to the game and (a late) happy b-day to my dad!...

Blazers Pull Out OT Thriller

Led by LaMarcus Aldridge’s 46 points (Blazer Playoff Record) and Damian Lillard’s 31 points, the Portland Trail Blazers pulled out a 122-120 OT win vs. the Rockets last night. LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 rebounds to his 46 points. Damian Lillard also added 5 assists to his showing. For Houston, James Harden and Dwight Howard turned in 27 points. Howard got 15 boards and harden dished 6 dimes. Chandler Parsons also had 24. But that wasn’t enough to win the game when Aldridge and Lillard dominated. Nicholas Batum added in 14 in the win and Wesley Matthews had 18. Both teams need MUCH more bench production because there was none of that in this game. Game 2 is on Wednesday in Houston… Other scores… Miami 99 LeBron James – 27 points, 9 rebounds Charlotte 88 Kemba Walker- 20 points, 6 assists San Antonio 90 Tim Duncan – 27 points, 7 rebounds Dallas 85 Devin Harris – 19 points, 5 assists Washington 102 Nene (Hilario) – 24 points, 8 rebounds Chicago 93 Jimmy Butler – 15 points, 7 rebounds NHL: The Sharks bit up Kings goalie Jonathan Quick once again coming back from a 2-0 deficit to a 7-2 win. The Sharks are now up 2-0 in the series. All the goals were by different players. L.A will host game 3… Other games: Rangers 2 Martin St.Louis – 1 goal Flyers...

Duda Powers Mets to Victory

The Mets improved their record to 6-7 with a nice 7-3 win over the D-Backs last night. Zach Wheeler had his 3rd start for the Mets this year striking out 3 and letting up 2 runs in his 6.1 innings of work. Carlos Torres got the save for the Mets coming in for 2.2 innings and throwing 2 K’s.  First Baseman Lucas Duda was the star of the game and had 4 hits and 2 RBI’s in the win. Third Baseman David Wright had 2 RBI’s on a single and a sacrifice ground-out. For Arizona, all of their runs were batted in by Catcher Miguel Montero on a double, single and sac-fly. Josh Collomenter took the loss for the D-Backs with 3 earned runs allowed in only 4 innings of work. The relief pitching was just as disappointing for the D-Backs letting up 4 runs in the loss. The Mets took 2 scares in this game from OF Curtis Granderson and OF Juan Lagares.  Lagares was pulled from the game in the 7th from a strained hammy and Granderson was injured after he made a spectacular catch in the outfield but dropped the ball after colliding with the OF wall and stayed in the game but left to reported rib and left forearm injuries. Grandy may be back soon but the electric hitting Lagares may be out longer but...

The Pelicans, Kings, Jazz and Lakers are the only teams that wouldn’t make the East playoffs from the West (the Nuggets wold join them if they lose 1 of their remaining games). The Hawks made the playoffs but are 7 games UNDER 500% this year! They are the only losing record playoff team this year…. I’m READY for the playoffs of 2014! News: The most decorated olympian EVER, Swimmer Michael Phelps is coming out of retirement and coming back into the pool again....

Milwaukee is BREWING Away to 1st

The Brewers are off to their best start to the season since going 13-0 in ’87. The Brew Crew’s pitching has been great lately with the bullpen shining and starting pitching on top. Their batting has been great with Ryan Braun and Carlos Gomez hitting like silver sluggers already!   In yesterday’s game vs the Pirates, Milwaukee dominated with Kyle Lohse improving both the Brewers and his career record vs the Pirates to 10-2 with 9 K’s over 8.2 innings. Watch out for the BREWERS!!!   The Mets had a disappointing 14-2 loss vs. the Angels yesterday, new pitcher Bartolo Colon was the losing pitcher and let up 9 runs in 5 innings including 3 straight homers! C.J Wilson was the winning pitcher for L.A. The Mets need to fix some things up quickly and get right back in the East race… The Masters are over and Bubba Watson has won it all once again hitting -8 and winning the Green Jacket. Jonas Blixt came in 2nd and 20 year old Jordan Spieth came in 3rd almost beating Tiger Woods record for youngest golfer to win the Masters. Congrats to Bubba on the special award of the prestigious Green Jacket….  ...
