Led by LaMarcus Aldridge’s 46 points (Blazer Playoff Record) and Damian Lillard’s 31 points, the Portland Trail Blazers pulled out a 122-120 OT win vs. the Rockets last night. LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 rebounds to his 46 points. Damian Lillard also added 5 assists to his showing. For Houston, James Harden and Dwight Howard turned in 27 points. Howard got 15 boards and harden dished 6 dimes. Chandler Parsons also had 24. But that wasn’t enough to win the game when Aldridge and Lillard dominated. Nicholas Batum added in 14 in the win and Wesley Matthews had 18. Both teams need MUCH more bench production because there was none of that in this game. Game 2 is on Wednesday in Houston…

The Mets played 14 strong innings vs. the Braves to finally pull out a win and come back to 500 (9-9). David Wright had a great game going 4-6 with a RBI and a run. Curtis Granderson got the walk-off sac-fly for NY, he still went 0-6 but has something to be happy about. Zach Wheeler pitched 6 innings and let up 3 runs but struck out 6. Daisuke Matsuzaka picked up a poor performance from Saturday and struck out 5 in 3 innings of work letting up 0 runs. Jose Valverde got the win for the Mets. Today, Jenrry Mejia who is 2-0 on the year will face off against last years NL Champ Cardinals and Tyler Lyons. The game is in NY at 7:10 on WPIX.
