The most amazing this about the Mets franchise throughout their entire history is their ability to constantly climb from the lowest of lows, to the highest of highs in the most incredible ways. It’s a never ending tradition that continues to amaze us fans. . . . It’s just crazy to me how this particular Mets team has battled through one of the worst starts to the season in baseball, as well as horrible management on and off the field, ownership and injuries; to get to this point where they are battling for a Wild Card. I give them all the credit in the world to bounce back like this, and make the Mets fun again. Only Mets fans would understand that it’s all starting with the players – not the fans – this season. It’s the most passionate team I’ve ever witnessed, and they’ve become as spirited and as close as the fans over the course of the season. . . . And because of that manner, the Mets fans have created an environment at home games where you have a playoff-like, home-field advantage in late August, which is unreal. Our fans may be weird and sometimes geekier than the classy Yankee fans; but they are arguably one of the most invested fan bases in sports. Call it biased, but this is a fan-driven team from first hand experience. . . . I pray the Mets keep this run going, since this year is special. We’ve never seen anything like it. #ThisYearIsDifferent #LFGM #LGM
