It all ends here…

After a 10-0 beat-up of the Giants, the Kansas City Royals may feel comfortable with a Game 7, but at home with their electric crowd! The KC crowd was a big factor to staying alive last night in that Game 6 because those fans have been waiting 25 full years for a PLAYOFF TEAM (let alone a World Series)! They WANT IT! Anyway the pitchers tonight will be Tim Hudson for the Giants who is 0-1 this post-season with a 3.72 ERA. For KC, Jeremy Guthrie will pitch who is 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA. Things are looking good for KC but I still have credit to my prediction of Giants winning in Game 7! (Check my recent blogs) The NBA has started with a boom! Here is some news on the 3 first games- Lakers Rookie Julius Randle (who was picked 7th overall this year out of Kentucky) broke his tibia so that’s a big loss for LA who had big hopes for him… Top 3 Performances- 3- James Harden: 32 points, 6 assists, 1 rebound and steal 2- Nikola Vevucivic: 15 points, 23 rebounds, 1 assist 1- Anthony Davis: 26 points, 17 rebounds, 9 blocks There was history made in College Football when they announced the 1st ever standings for the 1st ever College Football playoff. The playoff will have the 4 best teams (not just by...

I’m Back!

My summer sabbatical is over and I am back to blogging! I had a terrific summer at Camp this year! I loved all my friends and the fact I got to play sports all day, every day. I may have not had my eyes glued to a device all summer, but I’ve stayed tuned in the sports world with the help of my counselors and a big shout out for Mark Carberry who was Mr.Sports in the morning and kept our whole boys side tuned in on everything we missed from baseball scores, to the basketball off-season, to social media and lastly, but most memorably, his Bo-Sox who currently sit in last by 14.5 gms ;( . As he always said: “Get the rye, get the mustard, because today’s gonna’ be a grannnd Salami of a day!” And before you know it, you’re counting down to summer 2015. Now here I am, blogging again… Yesterday the Mets lost 2-1 to the Cubbies after beating them twice in a row. In Queens, that’s good baseball 🙂 .After a Grandy RBI, the Mets kept it tied 1 all going into the 9th and you could guess what happened. Classic Met letdown on a Starlin Castro HR in he top of the 9th.  This puts NYM at a 59-66 record, 7 below 500. And before the season we were talking about 90...

An Exciting Era Begins

Last night’s NBA draft was very deep and fun to watch. The teams made moves for future stars and increased their playoff chances. From #1-#60, these players can make one of the best classes ever. Unlike last year when 2nd rd. talent was found in the 1st. 1st rd. talent was all-around. Here is a little recap… Yes, the “future LeBron” coming out of high school, Andrew Wiggins was chosen #1 by the Cavs, just like LeBron before his trip to south beach. If we talk about these LeBron F.A rumors it will take forever. Anyway, Wiggins has potential and is playing now for a young team with tons of potential. We’ll this may get LeBron to come back to Cleveland.  Good start for the Cavs… We had some crazy trades in this draft, the hat switching was crazy. But 1 trade stood out above others, the Shabazz Napier trade. Napier coming off of his 2nd championship with UConn was selected by the Charlotte Hornets (You read that right), that would make a reunion of 2 UConn PG’s from the 1st championship, Kemba Walker. I was psyched after this pick and was excited for this young talented team. Plus I LOVE their new jerseys and logo as a logo freak. Back to the trade, he was traded to the MIAMI HEAT for the rights to future picks (they were...

FEED THAT MAN!

The Uruguay national team may have beat Italy 1-0 in an exciting game but this game was full of controversy… Uruguay star Luis Suarez was caught yet again for biting an opponent. Usually players have problems like hitting or injuries, but Suarez bites? This is the 3rd incident of the star player biting opponents when he but an opponent on Ajax in a fight and in Liverpool when he bit a player on Chelsea.  He received lengthy suspensions/fines for those incidents. Now he may cost Uruguay the World Cup by sitting for the whole tourney.   For yesterday’s bite, Suarez was not penalized, but Fifa knows what they need to do thats best which is suspend him.  Suarez and the Uruguay coach had comments on the bite that just made this mess worse by trying to defend themselves. This investigation is ongoing, crazy, and yes, it is spreading ALL OVER social media… World Cup update- Greece 2 – Ivory Coast 1 : Greeks advance on GW penalty kick in box… Colombia 4 – Japan 1 Italy 0 – Uruguay 1 Costa Rica 0- England 0 – England lowest pt total in their World Cup history (1)… Knockout Rd. – *= 1 more game (current position) Brazil Mexico Netherlands Chile Columbia Greece Costa Rica Uruguay France * Ecuador * Argentina  * Nigeria * Germany * USA * Belgium * Algeria * NBA-...
