The Lions found their man, Jim Caldwell to be their next head coach. The Lions were looking for an offensive guy and when Ken Whisenhunt signed with. Tennessee, the Lions took Caldwell. Caldwell had won 2 Super Bowls in 3 appearances. He was 1-2 with Peyton Manning in his Colts days as a HC. He won another with the Ravens and Joe Flacco. The Lions really need to polish their Franchise QB Matthew Stafford, his real problem is he throws too many picks and makes bad decisions. The Lions must put the cherry on top for their D and really work on a receiving core, they have All-purpose RB Reggie Bush and maybe the best WR in the league, Calvin Johnson. In yesterday’s final Divisional playoff games in the NFL we saw 2 very exciting games. In Mile High for the Broncos vs. Chargers game, Peyton Manning had his usual game. This game looked highly into the Broncos favor until the 4th quarter. With the Broncos up 17-0 at the start of the 4th quarter, the Chargers scored a TD then same for the Broncos. Then the Chargers got a Mile High Miracle catch and then a TD to be down by 10. The Chargers got an onside kick turned it into a FG. They kicked it off to Denver and the Broncos played good possession and Manning and Julius Thomas worked to get 2 game sealing 1st downs. The Broncos won 24-17. Peyton Manning threw for 230 and 2 TD’s. RB Knowshon Moreno played a big part running for 82 yards and a TD. On the other side, the Chargers had a pretty good game . QB, Philip Rivers had 217 yards in the air and 2 TD’s. Rookie WR, Keenan Allen had 6 catches for 142 yards and 2 TD’s. He is a high favorite to win Rookie of the Year. They will have a similar but a little bit better season. For the Broncos, they will play the Pats at home in another Manning /Brady matchup! I am very excited! “Who wants Skittles”! Every time Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch scores a TD, he gets skittles! His other Nick-name is ” Beast Mode”. He is a beast when running because you have to look at his YAC (yards after contact). He had 66 in this game vs the Saints. This game was all Marshawn Lynch. He had 28 carries for 140 yards and 2 TD’s and the game sealing TD. The Seahawks ball-hawking D was great in coverage last night, they did not let up a point in the 1st half. ZERO! They also held the Saints biggest target, Jimmy Graham to 1 catch for 6 yards. He had 6 targets. On the Saints side, they could not do anything, QB Drew Brees is not very good outdoors especially when it’s raining like last nights game and the Seahawks have the loudest fans in all of sports history! Brees threw for 309 yards and a TD with no picks. Also in part to his receiver’s drops and K Shane Graham who missed 2 of 2 FG’s. The Seahawks took advantage and won 23-15. QB Russell Wilson had only 103 yards which is low for a winning playoff QB. It looked like Marshawn Lynch had one of the best rushing performance in the postseason in a long time.
