Now that Mourinho is FINALLY sacked, I’d like to first break down his time with the club.
. . .
There’s no doubt that Jose was successful early on. After bringing in Zlatan and Pogba, Jose was able to lead United to a Europa League title putting them back in the UCL, as well as a second place finish last season. Two huge positives in anyone’s book, considering the awful state of the club from the LVG-era.
. . .
Thought, you can’t deny that his failures reign superior in this debate. . . .
United has lost an UNACCEPTABLE amount of matches against TERRIBLE teams, as well as failing against high level clubs too.
. . .
Let’s not forget to mention that Jose SINGLE-HANDEDLY ruined his reputation to the fans and players through his constant selfish comments, and disputes with players such as star CM; Paul Pogba – who almost left the club because of Jose.
. . .
Lastly, his work on the transfer window was truly lackluster. We’ve seen the only way to win big is to spend big, and there’s no reason a club as massive as UTD should be shying away from signing immediate impact, top level talent – like their Manchester counterparts.
. . . . .
When it comes to the future, I’m focused on two pieces.
. . .
Firstly, Ed Woodward should be taking some heat too as this is his third failed coach since the departure of Sir Alex, and the team hasn’t won a title since Fergie’s tenure. That’s a disgrace for a club this big. This should be his FINAL string.
. . .
When it comes to this next manager, I think United needs a coach like Zinedine Zidane. They need a guy who has winning in his blood, and a guy who will focus on his relationship with the players over all.
. . .
What are your thoughts? Is Jose still a good manager? Who should United bring in next? Comment below!
