It’sssssss BACK! Playoff Hockey started yesterday with a bang and some great games! Here are the scores and a quick headline:

NYI 4 – WAS 1: They weren’t at home but the Islanders played great winning big while Brock Nelson scored 2 goals in the win!

OTT 3 – MON 4: Brian Flynn scored a goal and added 2 assists helping Montreal and Carey Price who played great too!

CHI 4 – NSH 3: At first the BlackHawks seemed like they lost, Goalie Corey Crawford let up 3 goals quick but journeyman Scotty Darling came in and saved 42 shots while his team scored 4 goals between 2 OT!

CGY 2 – VAN 1: Jonas Hiller and the Flames took down Vancouver in a tiny win, Hiller had 29 great saves in the win…

The Rangers take on Pittsburgh today and 3 more games will go on to and I will hope to write a report :).

NBA- The regular season is OVER! This is a break for teams like the Knicks, T-Wolves and Lakers. But some teams joined the party right on time like the Pelicans who clinched over the Thunder last night with a win over San Antonio and they had the tiebreaker over OKC! The Nets surprisingly clinched the 8 seed in the east over Indy who lost last night and BKN had the tiebreaker! Games are set and start on Saturday and Sunday!

NFL- Former Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez was found GUILTY for the killing of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez was sentenced to life in jail and this shows players can do anything after that big pay-check whether it’s the steroids (more and more players are being suspended) or bad desicions. Recently Pacers F Chris Copeland was stabbed outside a club in NY and was out for the year at that time and Hawks F Thabo Sefolosha was arrested by the NYPD but broke his leg putting him out of the playoffs. Also teammate Pero Antic was arrested. What are your thoughts on these situations!

MLB- Yesterday we celebrated Jackie Robinson day to remember one of the biggest impacting moments in sports when Mr.Robinson broke the color barrier. Many many many players would not be playing because of him and the world would be much different! Thank you Mr.Robinson! All the teams wore #42 in honor of Jackie!

We also remember the bombings of the Boston Marathon 2 years ago and the Red Sox held a moment of silence for the people who passed away and let survivors throw the 1st pitch! Sadly the Red Sox lost 10-5 to the Nats. The Mets finished a sweep on the Phillies with a 6-1 win without David Wright. His replacement Eric Campbell went 1-5 with 1 run. Not too impressive. The Royals were beaten last night 3-1 by the now 2-6 Twins. The Royals look great and have a great year hopefully coming up! The man with the big, new, contract- Yasmany Tomas was called up by the D-Backs to maybe bat as a bench bat. I’m excited too see how more of these overseas players do in the MLB and I’m hoping they install a non college draft for Japanese, Cuban, DR and other players from other counties!

Champions League- Barçalona defeated PSG yesterday 3-1 with 2 goals from Suarez and 1 from Neymar! PSG got a goal from Jeremy Mathieu. This was the 1st leg of the matchup and Barça played great and Suarez’s goals were really stylish!

FC Porto beat Bayern Munich 3-1 yesterday in the 1st leg while Ricardo Quaresma scored 2 needed goals.

The 2nd leg for both games is on April 21st!

In the MLS the only game today is NYCFC vs the Philidelphia Union! The game is at 7:00 @ Yankee Stadium! Hopefully NYC can win to go to 2-2-2 as they’re 1-2-2 as I’ve now…

Leave your thoughts on anything below and I will respond!
