ALMOST!

ALMOST! Yesterday the Celtics and the Heat faced off. The Heat have a 22 game win streak (2nd longest ever) and the Celtics want to REALLY stop it. So, in the 1st quarter the Heat scored 19 points while the Celtics took a BIG lead scoring 31 points. Then the Heat came back scoring 34 but the Celtics still had 28 and Boston had the lead at half 58-53. Now the 2nd half was very close. The Heat scored 25 in the 3rd quarter while the Celtics scored 23. Now last but not least the 4th. The Celtics scored a heartbreaking 21 points while the Heat scored 27 and the Heat won 105-103! Now the players, LeBron James had 37 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. He led in all of those last night for the Heat. Celtics Jeff Green had 43 points which led the game. USA!!!!

USA!!! Last night the USA baseball team faced off against team Canada in the World Baseball Classic. This game would decide who will advance to round 2, a double elimination round in Miami. No on the game… Canada’s Michael Saunders hit a 2 run home run in the 2nd inning to lead 2-0. Then in the 4th inning Ben Zobrist got a bunt single to advance the runners but Joe Mauer scored on an error and David Wright advanced to 3rd. Later in the inning Adam Jones got a sac fly to center and Wright scored. In the 6th Adam Lowen singled and Joey Votto scored for team Canada. They took the lead 3-2. Then in the 8th Adam Jones hit a towering double deep into the out field and David Wright and Willie Bloomquist scored and USA took the lead 4-3. Later in the inning Shane Victorino singled and the speedy Adam Jones scored. Later in the inning Adam Lowen grounded out with the bases loaded to score Joey Votto to make it a 1 run game. Then in the 9th the US broke it open when the Lucroy got a single and Brandon Phillips scored then Eric Hosmer hit a towering double that cleared the bases and the US led by 4. OUCH!!! The New York Yankees have been having many injury problems this spring. They are literally playing with every backup they have. Here are some notable injuries: 1: Derek Jeter – Ankle (will return soon) , 2: Mark Texiera – Wrist ( 8-10 weeks), 3: Curtis Granderson – Forearm ( All of April), Alex Rodriguez – Hip ( All-Star break), Phil Hughes – Back ( Opening day). In sports right now there are 2 remarkable streaks… The Chicago Blackhawks have a 25 game goal streak and have a 20 + game win streak and the Miami Heat have a 15 game win streak. Yesterday both of these teams had very close games… Blackhawks: The Blackhawks have been having this sick streak that has lasted the whole season. Yesterday they played the Red Wings. With a little less than 3 minutes left the Red Wings led 1-0 and they hit the puck over the boards so they got a 2 minute minor penalty for delay of game. The Blackhawks got the puck to Patrick Kane and he scored to put the game in OT. No one scored in OT so they went into a penalty shootout. Patrick Kane took a shot with each team having 2 missed shots. Patrick Kane went down to the goalie and lifted his left leg twice and scored. On the Red Wings last chance they missed and the Blackhawks won 2-1. How long will this streak last? Heat: Yesterday the Heat played the Knicks. The Heat struggle most against the Knicks.
