Islanders Fail to Win in OT

After winning game 3 in the first seconds of their playoff game, the Islanders had another chance to do so last night but they were reversed as Washihgton scored to win in OT and tie the series 2-2! Nicholas Backstrom scored the winning goal while Alex Ovechkin woke up to score #1! Game 5 is coming up tomorrow! Other Games- Chicago 3 – Nashville 2 (3 OT!) Flames 3 – Canucks 1 Red Wings 3 – Lightning 0 NBA- ALL GAME 2! Cavs 99 – Celtics 91 Wizards 117 – Raptors 106 (Raptors only team to lose home games twice) Rockets 111 – Mavs 99 News- Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer took home the coach of the year award yesterday leading the Hawks to 60 wins and a 1st place east finish! The Hawks are a team that was a losing record 8 seed last year turned around with no huge superstars, but a group of great fundamental players! Congrats Mike! NFL- The 2015 schedule was released last night for all teams with the Patriots and Steelers facing off on September 10th for Game 1! Mets win 8th in a Row!

Thats 8! No fluke in my opinion! The Mets have won 8 straight games to stay undefeated at home and keep 1st place after finishing sweeping the marlins 7-6! But despite winning they lost 2 key players in super hot hitter Travis d’Arnaud and RP Jerry Blevins who’s not let up a hit yet in his mets debut season! d’Arnaud was hit by a pitch and will be out for 1-2 months and he will be replaced by young star Kevin Plawecki. Blevins will be replaced by Hansel Robles. Here are some roster situations on this Mets team… Pitchers- Jenrry Mejia suspended for 80 games April 11th (will not be eligible for playoffs) Zach Wheeler out for season with Tommy John Surgery (elbow tear on DL) Jerry Blevins out for TBD with arm fracture (on DL) Rafael Montero called down to AAA for 2B Danny Muno Hitters: David Wright placed on 15 day DL with hammy strain (currently on) Travis d’Arnaud on DL (out 1-2 months) with broken hand The Mets had a lucky 7 run inning which they held for the game after Matt Harvey let up 4 runs and threw 7 K’s in 6+ innings coming into the game with a injury… Comment your thoughts below and good luck to the Mets…...

Playoff Hockey is Back!

It’sssssss BACK! Playoff Hockey started yesterday with a bang and some great games! Here are the scores and a quick headline: NYI 4 – WAS 1: They weren’t at home but the Islanders played great winning big while Brock Nelson scored 2 goals in the win! OTT 3 – MON 4: Brian Flynn scored a goal and added 2 assists helping Montreal and Carey Price who played great too! CHI 4 – NSH 3: At first the BlackHawks seemed like they lost, Goalie Corey Crawford let up 3 goals quick but journeyman Scotty Darling came in and saved 42 shots while his team scored 4 goals between 2 OT! CGY 2 – VAN 1: Jonas Hiller and the Flames took down Vancouver in a tiny win, Hiller had 29 great saves in the win… The Rangers take on Pittsburgh today and 3 more games will go on to and I will hope to write a report :). NBA- The regular season is OVER! This is a break for teams like the Knicks, T-Wolves and Lakers. But some teams joined the party right on time like the Pelicans who clinched over the Thunder last night with a win over San Antonio and they had the tiebreaker over OKC! The Nets surprisingly clinched the 8 seed in the east over Indy who lost last night and BKN had the tiebreaker! Games...

Mets win (and lose) crazy game!

Baseball- The Mets had Matt Harvey return to Citi Field last night for the 1st time this year and he got a 6-5 win! Put a pricy win… Harvey looked like he had a bit of trouble but managed to throw 8 K’s! The umpire made some terrible calls which made Terry Collins get ejected! That pumped up the home crowd and led the mets to a win! But the mets lost Michael Cuddyer in the game when he got hit in the hand, his x-rays were negative and he won’t miss time. But Mets star David Wright pulled his hammy on a stolen base which led to him being put on the 15 day DL! Big loss for the Mets and Eric Campbell was called up from the Las Vegas 51’s to replace Wright… The defending AL champ Royals are the only unbeaten team left at 7-0! They are only .5 game in front of 7-1 Detroit! Also the WS favorite Nationals are off to a slow 2-6 start leading the MLB in many bad categories! They have 9 errors on the year and 6 from their SS Ian Desmond and their pitching and hitting his failing to succeed. What should they do, push the panic mode button or play it out… NHL- The race for the cup starts today! 4 games today kick off the Stanley Cup...

Congrats Spieth!

Congrats to 21 year old Jordan Spieth on winning his 1st masters! He had one of the best and most legendary masters ever with -18 beating 2nd place by 4! Spieth finished in 2nd last year and now with this win, he looks like he has a bright future in my opinion! The NHL playoffs start today with a bunch of games tomorrow too! The NBA has 2 games left (for each team) and they should be heated!!! The MLB is off to a great start now 2 full series into the season for most teams! The Yankees avoided a sweep by the Bo-Sox with a big 14-4 win last night! They took a game into the 19th inning in game 1 and the Sox had a big win yesterday! The Mets make their home opener today after a big roadtrip! They beat the undefeated (now 1 loss) Braves 4-3 yesterday and pitcher Bartolo Colon had his 1st RBI since 2005 and hit in a while! And yes, for the fans his helmet came off and it looked ridiculous...
