The tradition continues…

I have a tradition that every year I go to a new stadium with my dad, cousin Luke and my brother who started this year. I have been doing this for 4 years including the trip to Philly today. So far we have gone to Camden Yards for the Orioles, Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. On this trip in Philadelphia , I went to Pat and Geno’s for Philly Cheesestakes. I liked Pats better because Geno’s was too cheesy. We also went to see the Liberty Bell. Citizens Bank Park was very nice. The Phillies exploded in the first and second innings scoring Seven runs. No one scored for the next Five innings until Norchika Aoki hit a single to score Ricky Weeks. The Brewers scored four more runs through the ninth and lost 7-5 when J. Segura popped out with the bases loaded. I had tons of fun in Philadelphia. I can’t wait to figure out which stadium we’ll go to next...

Subway Sweep

Last night the Mets completed a amazin’ Subway sweep on the Yanks. Lets look back at this great series… The Mets starting pitchers were amazin’ in this sweep with an ERA of 1.72. In game 1 it was Jon Niese who threw a ‘good’ outing striking out 4 and letting up 1ER and David Wright and Daniel Murphy teamed up to win the game with a HR and a RBI single to win 2-1. Then in game 2 Matt Harvey the Dark Knight pitched and struck out 10 earning a ND because in the 9th David Wright was a hero again when he hit a single to score the tying run for the 2nd game in a row then Lucas Duda finished with a walk-off single on Mo Rivera to break his perfecto save record this season. They also made history by being the first team to get 3 straight hits on him without getting out. The Mets won again 2-1. In game 3 it was all the Mets batting when they teed off against David Phelps scoring 5 in the 1st. Jeremy Hefner got the win striking out 5 and letting up 3. Then in Game 4 the unhelpful Dillion Gee was very helpful striking out 12 and only letting up a Robby Cano HR and got the win. He had some help from Marlon Byrd who has...

Multi Money

Baseball: Yesterday not 1, but 2 players hit 3 HR’s in their games. Lets start with Nationals Ryan Zimmerman. His 1st HR was in the 1st, it was hit to left-center and 429 feet long. In the 4th he homered to center on another solo that went 413 feet. Then to top his performance he hit his 3rd HR in the 5th inning he hit to Right and scored Denard Span to put the Nats up 6-2. Despite his performance the Orioles came back with 7 runs. Chris Davis did not have 3 HR’s but he did have 2 and had 3 RBI’s to put him at 19 HR’s on the year. Now we go to Chicago for the 2nd HR performance from Cubs Catcher Dioner Navarro. He started in the 2nd when he hit a solo HR to left center that went 388ft. Then in the 4th inning he drove in Scott Hariston on a 370 foot HR to left. Then to finish his performance he drove in Anthony Rizzo and Alfonso Soriano home when that baseball went screaming for 455ft into right field. The Cubs won 9-3. Now something amazin’ happened last night when the Mets beat the Yanks at Yankee Stadium to lead the series 3-0. If the Mets win today this will be their 1st time sweeping the Yanks in 4 years. In this series...

Lets bounce in Cleveland! AGAIN.

Lets bounce in Cleveland! For the 3rd time in a row? Yep, the Fighting Francona’s have won again in grand fashion. Yesterday down 8-7 in the 10th with 2 runners on base Yan Gomez got up and attempted a bunt 3 times in a row, the coach was like “what are you doing”! So Yan took 2 pitches, 1 ball, 1 strike and the next pitch was gone! The Indians ended up winning 10-8. The Indians have a great chance of being a top AL team this season. Also yesterday rumors said that Dodgers coach Don Mattingly may be fired because of the Dodgers last place position this year. The Dodgers payed sooooooooooooo much money this year for all the good players they have and it only has led them to 18 wins. What should the Dodgers do about this? Soccer: Yesterday Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho announced he was leaving for Chelsea after 3 terrific seasons with Real Madrid. He is now the 2nd recent coach to leave their team after Sir Alex Ferguson retired after Man U’s game and his 1,500th game. Sir Alex and Mourinho have really had great careers so far. It really would be hard to have a new coach coaching Man U for the fans and players. Also Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are fighting over Real Madrid superstar Christiano Ronaldo. As a...

Just get it right!!!

Just get it right! That’s what White Sox coach Robin Ventura said last night when he was shocked by 2 calls in their win against the Twins. The first was a play at the plate, when Twins Justin Morneau slid to home and missed the base, then the White Sox catcher clearly tagged the runner and the runner then touched the base and he was safe! You might not see the glove clearly touch the runner in full speed but in slow mo you can see the glove make the tag and it moved after it hit the runner. Then when Adam Dunn got up for the White Sox he hit into a hole just beyond the infield dirt and the 2nd baseman threw it to 1st and Dunn was out! He clearly beat the throw by much more than you could think of and he was still out! The White Sox were saying “the umps are going to miss a call, but its costing us runs!” These controversies keep happening and the MLB is not doing anything about these dumb calls and they need to get those instant replay things from ESPN that put a scope on the play! It’s really unbelievable! What should the MLB do about...
