Mets are on a Roll!
13 years ago today, the most heart breaking terrorist attack in US history took place at the Twin Towers in NYC . Many people died in the attack and the whole world was saddened. Today we remember the heroes and people who passed away in this tragedy… I’m sure you’ve heard enough Ray Rice in sports news lately so lets get on to something else like the fact that that the Mets have won 7 of their past 8 games and they just swept the Rockies! Here’s a recap on the game: The Mets may have only won 2-0, but this puts them at a 71-75 record which means the Mets actually have a chance at breaking the .500 barrier! Yes, that is a Mets accomplishment unlike your favorite team. And remember, those Bronx Bombers are only 74-69. In the 2nd inning, Dilson Herrera was driven in on a Eric Young jr. triple. Then in the 7th, Juan Lagares drove in Herrera one more with a sac-fly. Rafael Montero got his 1st win this season (now 1-3) pitching 5.1 strong, shutout innings with 7 K’s and only 3 hits allowed.
