Kobe Bryant literally just returned from his injury from last season a few weeks ago. Guess what, he’ll be sitting on the bench for at least 6 weeks according to multiple sources. There were many great performances in the NFL yesterday but only 1 stood out. Chiefs RB, Jamaal Charles had a terrific 4 TD’s receiving, and 1 on the ground. In standard formats for fantasy football, Charles had 51 points and in PPR, he had 59!!! The record in standard was by Gale Sayers in the ’60’s. He had 54 in standard leagues and 57 in PPR. I feel disappointed in myself after I picked Marshawn Lynch over him. In the playoff formats right now, the Colts clinched the division and the Broncos and Chiefs clinched births. In the NFC, the lone team to clinch is the Seahawks. In the AFC, The Broncos, Colts, Bengals and Patriots lead their divisions and in the Wild Card, the Chiefs and Dolphins who lead the Ravens by a half a game, lead. In the NFC, the Seahawks, Eagles, Bears and Saints lead their divisions. The Bears lead the Lions by a half a game. In the Wild card, the Panthers and 49’ers lead. If the Lions win tonight, them and the Cardinals are the only teams left to win the Wild. Card, the Packers, Cardinals, Lions and Cowboys have chances to win their division. Their has been A LOT of signings and trades in the MLB off-season, here are MY top trades and pickups. Prince Fielder to Rangers for Ian Kinsler. We all know Fielder signed a monster contract with the Tigers and they will pay him big money over the next 7 years. Kinsler will be good for the Tigers because he can get on base for MVP Miguel Cabrera. Fielder will give a big bat for the Rangers. Curtis Granderson to Mets. 4 years YES! The ‘amazins finally found a big bat that can hit in Citi’s big walls. I’m very excited. Robinson Cano to Mariners. 10 years. Don’t ya know, Robbie Cano? Probably everyone knows him after signing a $240 million contract with the M’s. He’ll be 40 at the end of his contract. The big questions are, will be last for 10 years with a 70 win team? Probably not since he’s been with the Pinstripes forever. Carlos Beltran to Yankees. 3 years. The Yankees OF was full of superstars already and with Beltran? Just Amazing.
