Heat Sweep Bobcats to Advance

The Miami Heat and LeBron James defeated the Bobcats in a sweep (only one of the playoffs) to spoil the Bobcats 2nd playoff appearance in their history (only Bobcats, not Charlotte Hornets). After the season, the new and exciting Bobcats will become the Hornets again. #Turnbacktheclock!   Well, this is a great accomplishment for Charlotte to get in the playoffs for the 1st time in “forever” and go from the complete laughingstock of the league to the #7 seed.  Unlucky for them, their best player Al Jefferson barely played due to injuries and they played the Heat in the playoffs… We don’t really need to talk about the Heat. We all know this is their potential “3peat” season if they win it all and worst case scenario, the Big 3 split up and put the Heat downnnn. Great win for them in this series and it is a good sign to see them take advantage of a team they’ve never lost to in the Big 3 era. (Unlike the #1 Pacers who are now down 3-2 to the #8 Hawks).  Miami will play the winner of the Nets v. Raptors series… The Pacers have been battling for the #1 seed this whole season and they got it. Now after some un-characteristic struggles late in the season. Rockets and Bulls Are On the Edge

The Rockets and Bulls lost their 3rd game of the series yesterday and now are 1 game away from going home. These are 2 teams with high expectations so this would be disappointing to the franchise. Here are yesterday’s scores… Rockets 120      James Harden – 28 points, 6 assists Blazers 123        LaMarcus Aldridge – 29 points, 10 rebounds         (Blazers lead 3-1 in series)   Wizards 98        Trevor Ariza- 30 points, 8 rebounds ,  Nene (DNP Suspended for game), Wizards lead 3-1 in series Bulls 89               Taj Gibson- 33 points, 7 rebounds   Clippers 97        Blake Griffin- 21 points, 6 rebounds,  (Clippers turned practice jerseys inside out for warmups with no clippers logo showing and threw practice shirts in center court in protest of owner Donald Sterling and his mean comments) Sterling did not attend game… Warriors 108    Stephen Curry- 33 points, 7 rebounds and assists,  series tied 2-2   Raptors 87       DeMar DeRozan – 24 points, 5 rebounds Nets 79              Paul Pierce- 23 points, 5 rebounds   Yesterday the Mets shutout the Marlins 4-0. On a Personal Note

The other night I went to the Mets vs. Cardinals game with my family celebrating my Dad’s birthday! It was really fun! We did some cool stuff at Citi Field. We even got to go into the control room! When I grow up, I really want to be a sportscaster and blogger, so this was an awesome experience.  In the room, my brother and I pushed a button to put up the prestigious, Mets Home Run Apple in Center Field! It was really cool! I was also amazed at how much technology there was in the room! (Too many T.V’s for me 🙂 !)  The game was awesome and was great to see the Mets win! (Even though it was COOOOOLLLLLLLLD) I had a great time and experience. Thanks to my parents for taking me to the game and (a late) happy b-day to my dad!...

Niese ‘s Strong Innings Power Mets to Win

Jon Niese pitched 6.2 strong innings for the Mets last night to earn his 1st win of the year in the Mets 3-2 vs. the Cardinals last night.  It was freezing at the game! Niese’s great performance included 3 K’s and only 1 ER. Kyle Farnsworth got his 2nd save of the year despite almost blowing it in the 9th to a potential rally. Curtis Granderson looks very confident and relaxed now, he got his 1st hit in a while to end his no-hit slump and I think this is a start of seeing the old Grandy. The Mets got their 2 runs in the 4th when Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha loaded the bases for the Mets and they drew 2 walks for 2 runs. Doomed Already?

The NFL schedule has been released and i’m sure it will be a great one! But some teams are looking at their schedule like it’s a nightmare for their team, like me and the Jets. I still think they can pull out an over 500 record. Here are my top few games I am looking forward to: (not in order) Broncos @ Seahawks in a heated Super Bowl matchup Packers @ Seahawks , great way to start off the season NFL, this is the rematch of the famous “fail mary” , look it up… Broncos @ Patriots for Brady and Manning’s matchup again, their were 2 really great match-ups last year and now the teams are even better, this is a really great game. Patriots @ Jets will mark Darrelle Revis’s 2nd matchup with NY of his career. He has now became another player to switch sides in the rivalry. Redskins @ Eagles, was DeSean Jackson really released from Philly because of off the field problems? Probably not but this rematch with his former team which he did great with in his career should be good. Patriots @ Packers will have 2 of the most iconic QB’s ( Brady and Rodgers) in a rare match-up of the teams. Look for maybe a playoff prediction on my blog soon!  ...
