Big Day in the NFL…

Starting with Thursday’s Giants 45-14 blowout of the Redskins (that was over shadowed by Jeter’s last home game) the NFL had a crazzzzyyyyy week! My Fantasy Team Update: My fantasy team is going to a 3-1 record this season with my win this week on my opponent. The score is 113-59 (me) heading into Monday Night. He is left with RB Jamaal Charles but a comeback would be almost impossible. I had a good week with only 2 players getting under 10 points in TE Niles Paul who got a concussion before the end of the 2nd half for the Redskins but was having a big night with 9 points already and Kicker Cody Parkey had 3 points because of a down game from the Eagles earning their 1st loss. Keenan Allen had a big 24 pt game for me and Jay Cutler reaching 21 in their loss to the Pack. I was also save with my opponent benching Steve Smith Sr. who exploded for 33 points for Roddy White and Andre Johnson. And he benched Tony Romo who had a big 30 point game vs. the Saints in their domination in SNF for Kirk Cousins who struggled to do anything on TNF with 7 total pts. Winning will most likely raise my team from 7th place of 16… Tonight’s game is New England against Kansas City. The MLB...

4 Rookie QB’s Make a Mark

Yes, 3 rookie QB’s debuted yesterday in small parts but made some headlines. Blake Bortles stepped in for the Jags in the 2nd half with a healthy Chad Henne on the bench. Bortles threw for 223 yards in garbage time with 2 picks and 2 TD’s on a 63 yard bomb to Allen Hurns and and a fake spike throw to Cecil Shorts III in his return from a hammy injury. Bortles will start week 4 vs. the Chargers.  Teddy Bridgewater will be starting now also with QB Matt Cassel fracturing a bone in his foot. Brigewater threw for only 150 yards 0 TD’s and picks. Moving foward Teddy may start. Now who’s missing? 2nd rounder Derek Carr is starting already for the struggling Raiders but their is 1 more. Johnny Manziel made his mark yesterday not throwing, but catching a 39 yard pass on a sneak play but the play was reversed and did not count. If it counted, that would make a huge splash on social media… For my Fantasy Team this week I did well with a 88-79 lead heading into tonight with Jay Cutler and facing Matt Forte. This is a 16 team PPR league if you were wondering. I think I will win because Forte wont do any crazy damage in the ground game with the Jets ferocious run-D but Cutler will have a...

Clinchers!

The Los Angeles Angels clinched the AL West tile with the A’s loss last night and their big 5-0 win. LA is the 3rd team (Nationals and Orioles) to clinch their division so far. C.J Wilson pitched a gem for LA allowing 1 hit over 7 strong innings and 7 k’s. DH C.J Cron had a 3 run homer to open up the game for the Angels. Watch out for LA, they are EN Fuego right now and can be a serious playoff contender considering their talent along with the O’s. So far KC Royals and the A’s lead the AL Wild-Card race with Seattle 2 games back rom the A’s and the Indians. In the NL, the Giants and Pirates lead with the Brewers back by 2.5 and Atlanta down by 5.5. Tonight is Thursday Night Football with the Falcons and Bucs facing off, look for an offensive explosion for the Falcons and a huge game from QB Matt Ryan and WR Julio Jones and Roddy White who I think will play despite his hammy problems. The MLS released it;s new logo online. I may not be extremely eye popping, but I read that it has a meaning so definitely go and check it...

Big Day in the NFL

The fans have had enough with this A.P and Ray Rice problems as well as the Panthers deactivating DE Greg Hardy. But the NFL had some big games yesterday, alsoI earned my 1st fantasy football win this season mostly because of Jay Cutler’s 33 pt effort last night which led them to a 28-20 win over the 49’ers in the opening of the new Levi’s Stadium.  Cutler threw for 4 TD’s which 3 of them came in the 4th quarter to win.  I also got help from facing Colin Kaepernick who threw 3 picks.  My team had a big 2 TD game from Alfred Morris in his blowout win good for 20 pts. Yes, I still won even though I had to sit injured TE Jordan Reed and sit RB Adrian Peterson and WR Wes Welker. If you were wondering this is my (best non suspended and injured) team- QB: Jay Cutler RB:Adrian Peterson,  Alfred Morris and Jeremy Hill WR: Keenan Allen, Wes Welker, Torrey Smith, Justin Hunter and Josh Gordon* (i’m trying to trade him) TE: Jordan Reed and Jermaine Gresham* (i’m dropping him because I needed him only for 1 week) K and D/ST: I choose weekly ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Another big game  in the NFL yesterday was the Browns beating the Saints in the last seconds on a FG to put New Orleans to 0-2. This is a...
