Spurs Take NBA Finals!

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 104-87 to secure their 5th franchise title. Kawhi Leonard won finals MVP after 3 AMAZING games coming back from a slow start. In game 5, he scored 22 points, 10  boards, 2 assists and a block and steal. Leonard (22) is the 2nd youngest player to win Finals MVP since the great Magic Johnson did with his legendary Lakers. This will be an important mark in Leonard’s career because when the Spurs big 3’s playing days are over, Leonard must step in and control this prestigious franchise. Patty  Mills is also a rising star to come, he scored 17 points last night on 6-10 FG’s and made 5 threes. When Tony Parker’s days are over, he will step in as a big time player. Manu Ginobili may now play the 6th man role as a veteran to the rising star Danny Green,  but he steeped up big this series. Last night, he had 19 points and 4 rebounds and assists. Another talk of the Series is Boris Diaw who had a terrific series in the starting PF role. Diaw, a really big guy looks like a big, slow guy. But he really is and athletic fast moving and thinking PF. He had 9 rebounds and 6 assists adding to 6 points in the game. Tony Parker had 16 points and Tim...

Chris Bosh scored 18 points and D-Wade AND Rashard Lewis took 14 points. Game 3 is in Miami tomorrow at 9:00. My Prediction- Spurs in 6… Game 3 prediction- Heat 98 – Spurs...

Pacers take Gm.5 Behind George

Paul George was AMAZING in last night’s game 5 win vs. the Heat! In the win, he scored 37 points (21 in a monster 4th quarter), grabbed 6 steals and 6 boards. The Heat fell on LeBron James foul troubles, he had 3 by half and 5 at the end of the game. He only managed to play 24 minutes scoring 7 points on 2-10 shooting. He had to make a tough decision when he beat Paul George at the top of the key and went down low, instead of taking it in for a GW layup with the d lurking, he dished it to Chris Bosh, a great 3 pt shooter and he came close but missed! The Pacers secured the game and forced a Gm.6 at Miami. What a run for the Pacers, the storyline? “What’s next”! The Kings had all the momentum on a 3-1 to 4-3 comeback and Chicago fans went silent. But… These former Stanley Cup Champions came back, tied the game at 4 before OT and won it all in 2OT with another goal! The Kings may be up 3-2 in the series, but this is as close as the Rangers v. Canadiens series. Talking about those blue-shirts, the Rangers have a chance at clinching a spot in the finals with a win tonight! GOOOOOOO...

Mets Drop 2 Guys After Disappointing Loss

After a disappointing 5-3 loss to the Pirates yesterday. The Mets fired hitting coach Dave Hudgens after the game after some really poor hitting this season and the past 3 with him. The Mets also announced the release of Veteran closer Jose Valverde after posting a 5.66 ERA this season with a 1-1 record. Look at this now. This all started when Bobby Parnell hurt himself and was ruled out for the season on opening day, that sent the Mets in panic mode for relief pitching. That came to 2 releases of veteran relievers who struggled mightily and call-ups of starters in the minors to move starters to the pen! Hitting must improve for NYM with a team .237 Batting Average with 186 RBI’s and 407 hits. They only got 195 runs and 123 extra base-hits.  That led to the firing of Hudgens, Lamar Johnson will fill in for him. To add to the news, Mets young star, minor league pitcher, Noah Synderguard is getting his arm checked in NY today to check for a possible injury. Tonight, Jon Niese is on the hill for the Mets while Edinson Volquez is pitching for the Pirates… Also in the MLB, after Josh Beckett’s no-no on Sunday, Hyun-Jin Ryu almost got one of his own going perfect for 7.1 innings with 7 K’s. He collapsed in the 8th with a total...
