Spurs Take NBA Finals!
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 104-87 to secure their 5th franchise title. Kawhi Leonard won finals MVP after 3 AMAZING games coming back from a slow start. In game 5, he scored 22 points, 10 boards, 2 assists and a block and steal. Leonard (22) is the 2nd youngest player to win Finals MVP since the great Magic Johnson did with his legendary Lakers. This will be an important mark in Leonard’s career because when the Spurs big 3’s playing days are over, Leonard must step in and control this prestigious franchise. Patty Mills is also a rising star to come, he scored 17 points last night on 6-10 FG’s and made 5 threes. When Tony Parker’s days are over, he will step in as a big time player. Manu Ginobili may now play the 6th man role as a veteran to the rising star Danny Green, but he steeped up big this series. Last night, he had 19 points and 4 rebounds and assists. Another talk of the Series is Boris Diaw who had a terrific series in the starting PF role. Diaw, a really big guy looks like a big, slow guy.
