A whole lot of basketball news from yesterday….Including: LeBron James chasing a big record, an undefeated college team that lost, and are the Lakers going D – O – W – N????? College B-ball – Yesterday in college basketball undefeated Arizona faced off against the Oregon Ducks. REMINDER – The Ducks are not a ranked team. So with 20 sec left in the game Arizona missed a FT but made a 3 to trail 69-66 but after getting a defensive rebound they dribbled up the court with 10 sec left and then the Ducks stole the ball, and got an extra FT for the win. Upset! The only 2 undefeated teams left are #1 Duke and #2 Michigan. They are both playing ranked teams in their next matchups. Go Blue! NBA – Yesterday the Heat played the Trail Blazers while King James was on his trip to a big achievement, 20K pts! He was 85 short last night but then scored 15 vs the Trail Blazers. 70 more pts till 20K!!! Yesterday Pau Gasol of the Lakers got a concussion to add ANOTHER Laker injury! Injuries are really killing the 15-20 Lakers who were most predicted to win the Finals. No western conference team has ever even made the playoffs with a 15-20 record. Steve Nash has 10K something as of last night. What is that something? Yes, Assists! Last Night Steve Nash got his 10K assist. The B-ball superstar has been passing and scoring since being a youngster on the Phoenix Suns with Mike D’ntoni as his coach and now a All-star on the somehow Struggling Lakers with D’ntoni as his coach and with scoring machine Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, AKA : Superman. BCS National Blowout?

Yesterday was the BCS National Championship but more like the BCS National blowout. #2 Alabama was the big champ in this game scoring 42 pts in their win. #1 Norte Dame was the upset one in this game scoring only 14 pts! The fighting Irish D was not that good yesterday, well the truth is Irish fans they played horrible. The Defense had season highs in this game allowing 42 pts, 4 80+ yard drives ( they let up 0 all year.) There were a lot more but you won’t want to hear them. Alabama played Great last night. Just Great. QB A.J Maccaron did awesome! So did RB’s T.J Yeldon and Eddie Lacy. The D did great also. The win was Bama’s 3rd National Championship in 4 years! That proves that Bama is a Championship team and they’ll probably be the favorite for the next few years. Sorry ND fans… Hey Michigan lost with the same score in week...

A Wild, Wild Card Weekend!

This weekend was a Wild, Wild Card Weekend! The matchups are all set for next week! But a bigger event today, the Discover BCS National Championship! The Notre Dame Irish will play the Alabama Crimson Tide. Football- Yesterday in Wild Card Weekend the Seattle Seahawks and Rookie QB Russell Wilson faced off against RGIII and the Redskins. The Redskins got of to a good start in the 1st Q but then everything went wrong. After throwing a TD RGIII was hit by a Seahawks defender and injured. Griffin III still stayed in the game. But the 2nd half was disastrous for the Redskins. Wilson played his A-game in the 3rd and 4th Q and RG3 was injured again on a missed snap. That cost them the game. The final score was SEA 24 – WAS 14. In his last home game Ray Lewis and the Ravens battled against the 11-win Indianapolis Colts. The Colts had a hard time getting up field in the game. They settled for 3 FG’s while the Ravens scored 24 points in a 24-9 win. College Football – All those bowls are done now. But here’s the biggest one… The BCS national championship!
