Royal Wrecking!

The Kansas City Royals entered these playoffs with the 1st wild card spot… Now their eyes are set on the big prize, the World Series. They’ve been the ultimate comeback kids in the postseason with soooooo many games going into extra innings and them winning them all. In fact, they are unbeaten so far in the postseason, yes 8-0 with 1 win to go till they get to the series. This run is really, really unbelievable knowing that they swept, (yes swept) the #1 Angels and jumping out to this 3-0 game lead on the top notch O’s with yet another home game. They won last night 2-1 on a great pitching performance to keep the Orioles in check. It’s extremely unlikely that the Orioles make a comeback because to do that, they must win 4 straight games and a few at Kauffman stadium… Also in the MLB- The San Francisco Giants are up 2-1 to the Cardinals in the NLCS after winning 5-4 on a walk off in the 10th inning. What happened? Cards pitcher Randy Choate must have had the butterflies in his stomach with a lot on the line and making a game losing throwing error. This is a close series and I wouldn’t be surprised if it went into a game 7 and I am unsure who would even...

Champion Series all set!

The champion series match ups are all set with the Cardinals and Giants taking on each other in the NLDS and the Royals (yes, the Royals beat the #1 Angels) and Orioles in a tough matchup. The favorites in these playoffs have really been beat up, here are some teams who got burned: AL Wild Card: A’s get knocked out in extras to KC NL Wild Card: Giants beat up Pirates in shutout ALDS: KC sweeps the Angels… and bad NLDS: Cardinals beat up Clayton Kershaw twice (and once to advance) ALDS: Another AL Sweep… O’s dominate Tigers pitching to advance to ALCS NLDS: Giants finish up the Nats on a devastating wild-pitch to advance in a 3-1 series win This definitely was not the Champion Series that everyone predicted… Let alone the World Series teams, the Cards and Giants are very recent winners in the past years for the World Series but the O’s and Royals especially are surprising. I’m very excited to see how this turns...

Milestones Galore!

In the NFL yesterday we had a lot of crazy achievements and other bizarre stuff happening! Here are some: Tom Brady reaches 50,000 passing yards Peyton Manning throws 500th TD Demarius Thomas had 226 receiving yards to break Shannon Sharpe’s record of 213 Wes Welker received his 854th pass to move past Rod Smith for most catches by an undrafted player   News: There are currently 0 teams with a undefeated record after the Cardinals and Bengals fell to 3-1 after their bye. That can mean a close playoff race towards the end of the season (Herm Edwards would be screaming after he read what I wrote 🙂 ). Well, we can see the Jets not making the postseason while falling to 1-4 with a 31-0 loss to the Chargers. This made every Jets fan embarrassed and even made me start to almost root against them. They are so bad!!!!!!!!!! They tried benching Geno Smith at halftime because he was playing terrible and put in the 34 year old Mike Vick. Vick played just as worse. Rex Ryan then announced Geno will start vs. the Denver Broncos which will be a blowout of the Jets either way.  They were the 1st team shut out this year and have arguably the WORST offense ever!  They had 4 first down through the 1st three quarters and it took them 52 minutes...

We’re in October…

Who know’s what October is? Playoff time! The 1st playoff game was the A’s clashing against the Royals in the 1 game AL Wild Card. The winner faces off against the Angles in the ALDS.  The A’s had playoff pitching specialist Jon Lester who the acquired from the Bo-Sox for slugger Yoenis Cespedes (which I will talk about) at the trade deadline to boost their pitching. For the Royals, they had James Shields.  Fast Forward to the 3rd inning when the Royals took a 3-2 lead in the 3rd inning with RBI’s from Eric Hosmer and Lorenzo Cain. But the A’s boosted their confidence and in the 6th, Brandon Moss hit a 3 run bomb to center and Derek Norris and Coco Crisp led in a run to made it 7-3 Oakland. The Royals were stunned but they came back with 3 runs in the 8th and a Aoki sac-fly to go to extra’s. After the A’s took a 8-7 lead in the 12th from Alberto Callaspo RBI single, the Royals punched in the tying and winning walkoff runs with a Salvador Perez 1 run single! The Royals are moving on! This is the 1st time since 1985 KC has made the postseason so this is big for them. I’m predicting the Angels to eliminate them but it will be fairly close but hopefully the Royals will comeback with...

Big Day in the NFL…

Starting with Thursday’s Giants 45-14 blowout of the Redskins (that was over shadowed by Jeter’s last home game) the NFL had a crazzzzyyyyy week! My Fantasy Team Update: My fantasy team is going to a 3-1 record this season with my win this week on my opponent. The score is 113-59 (me) heading into Monday Night. He is left with RB Jamaal Charles but a comeback would be almost impossible. I had a good week with only 2 players getting under 10 points in TE Niles Paul who got a concussion before the end of the 2nd half for the Redskins but was having a big night with 9 points already and Kicker Cody Parkey had 3 points because of a down game from the Eagles earning their 1st loss. Keenan Allen had a big 24 pt game for me and Jay Cutler reaching 21 in their loss to the Pack. I was also save with my opponent benching Steve Smith Sr. who exploded for 33 points for Roddy White and Andre Johnson. And he benched Tony Romo who had a big 30 point game vs. the Saints in their domination in SNF for Kirk Cousins who struggled to do anything on TNF with 7 total pts. Winning will most likely raise my team from 7th place of 16… Tonight’s game is New England against Kansas City. The MLB...
