Happy Championship Sunday! We got a huge pair of games today so let’s get started:
. . . . .
NE @ KC: This game is going to come down to the CONSISTENCY of Kansas City’s performance. I can ASSURE you that we’ll see a classic Patriots playoff effort in this game; but the only way to outmatch that is to start strong out of the gates, and RETAIN that all the way through until the last second.
. . .
We’ve seen their incredible talent time after time, but also their INABILITY to close out big games. The defense needs to play just as well as last week too, and use the momentum from last week – to their advantage.
. . .
I think KC has a REAL, LEGIT shot at this game and I’m really pulling for Andy Reid the most since he’s an EXCELLENT HC! I don’t care what you say; he’s top tier. Though, I can’t see Brady and Belichick falling to a relatively young Chiefs team FILLED with inexperience and sprinkled with holes.
. . .
Chiefs get off to a hot start, but lose steam near the end as Gostkowski hits a game winner to send the Pats to the Super Bowl: KC 17 – 20 NE.
. . . . .
LAR @ NO: Similar to the AFC championship, there is one much talented team in the Rams – like the Chiefs – and one team who is not going through its first rodeo in the Saints – like the Pats. And just like that game, the Rams should have the same mindset; START STRONG and don’t look back! They CANNOT get comfortable like Philly since once the Saints get hot, they’ll stuff you for the rest of the game.
. . .
The Rams DEFENSE is going to be the biggest factor in this game. They have to take advantage of the Saints’ lack of weapons and game plan against Thomas and Kamara – unlike what the Eagles did. They surely have the pieces to shut those two guys down, and Drew Brees who hasn’t looked incredible lately – but execution will the narrative.
. . .
The game is going to be much lower scoring than everyone thinks, but it’s a credit to the defense; not a knock on the offenses. In a tough, old-school game, the Saints pull away at the end to advance: LAR 20 – 23 NO.
