A LOT Happened

Here’s some big headlines from a big day in sports yesterday… Baseball- -Orioles and White Sox complete 1st game with no fans in history -Mets lose from Ichiro’s 1st Marlin HR 7-3 and Mets lose back to back series’s NBA- -Hawks take 3-2 series lead vs Nets with 107-97 win last night -Grizzlies take the series 4-1 after a big 99-93 win over the Blazers in a surprising series NHL- -The crazy 1st round ended last night with the Lightning beating Detroit 2-0 and taking the series in a crazy game 7! NFL- -The Music is back and the draft is today! The draft will take place in Chi-Town for the first time in 51 years after being in mostly NY for 50 years! The Bucs hold the 1st pick and like everyone else, I see them taking Winston as an obvious choice no arguments. The 2nd pick from Tennesee will probably determine the fate of this draft with maybe Mariota being picked or Leo Williams, or possibly a trade to NYJ, Cleveland, Philly, Chicago and more! I really think with new, aggressive and great GM Mike Maccaganan of the Jets, that will lead to a SMART pick which can fill a Jets need. Here are their most likely options: They can draft Mariota and be done with Geno for good. They can really establish a great WR core...

Bucks and Nets Avoid Elimination!

The 1st round is getting deeper into day by day and the games are great! Here’s a recap on yesterday… The Nets who looked hopeless lately made a mark beating the #1 Hawks 91-83! The Nets played great with Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young grabbing double-doubles while Bojan Bogdanovic had 19 despite D-Will having another disappointing game with 3 points. The Hawks definitely did not have their best game stat wise with Kyle Korver only scoring 2 and Al Horford putting only 7 on the board. Paul Milsap had 18 points and 17 rebounds while teammate Demmare Carroll had 22 points. The Hawks are only up 2-1 The Bucks avoided a sweep from Chicago with a 92-90 win with another Bayless buzzer-beater! The Bucks drew up a beautiful play to score while Bayless got away from D-Rose on a move! It looks like the Bulls series anyway but it’s nice to see a young team win and put some experience under their belt for the future! The Grizz took a demanding 3-0 series lead over the Blazers despite the Blazers starters combining for 79 points in a close 115-109 win. The Grizzlies played good keeping the lead throughout the game and look very strong right now.. I gotta give credit to New Orleans for being close with the amazing Warriors as a young team in the west....

Mets win 8th in a Row!

Thats 8! No fluke in my opinion! The Mets have won 8 straight games to stay undefeated at home and keep 1st place after finishing sweeping the marlins 7-6! But despite winning they lost 2 key players in super hot hitter Travis d’Arnaud and RP Jerry Blevins who’s not let up a hit yet in his mets debut season! d’Arnaud was hit by a pitch and will be out for 1-2 months and he will be replaced by young star Kevin Plawecki. Blevins will be replaced by Hansel Robles. Here are some roster situations on this Mets team… Pitchers- Jenrry Mejia suspended for 80 games April 11th (will not be eligible for playoffs) Zach Wheeler out for season with Tommy John Surgery (elbow tear on DL) Jerry Blevins out for TBD with arm fracture (on DL) Rafael Montero called down to AAA for 2B Danny Muno Hitters: David Wright placed on 15 day DL with hammy strain (currently on) Travis d’Arnaud on DL (out 1-2 months) with broken hand The Mets had a lucky 7 run inning which they held for the game after Matt Harvey let up 4 runs and threw 7 K’s in 6+ innings coming into the game with a injury… Comment your thoughts below and good luck to the Mets…...
