Off to the Tourney!

Many Bracket spots were clinched and there is still many to go!!the excitement is mounting and here are the notable spots clinched yesterday! 1 Harvard 2 Wichita St. 3 Deleware 4 Manhattan Wichita St made the final 4 last year and went 34-0, a perfect season this year. They are projected to be a 1 seed, because of their record. They played no ranked teams this year and played in a weak conference. Look for them to immediately move conferences after this tourney… NFL- Free Agency signings will start today and today, all to be free-agents are now free-agents! I am sooooooooo excited! Over the weekend, I may do a full report for every important position, I love football so I will be following all moves and reporting them on my blog ASAP! My news for the day, Buccaneers CB Darrelle Revis who was acquired from the Jets for a 1st rounder last year will either be traded or released this week! A short run for the pro bowl CB on his new team! The Broncos, Patriots and Jets will be interested in every CB/DB from losses of Champ Bailey (Denver), Aquib Talib ( Patriots ) and Antonio Cromartie (Jets). The Jets will be fighting for a lot of WR’s and maybe a RB and...

Mastermind to NY?

Former Lakers and Bulls coach and 13 (including playing career) time NBA Championship winner , Phil Jackson, is reportedly leaning toward being the President of Basketball Operations for the Knicks and maybe even coach! Jackson, played with the Knicks with Walt Fraizer’s team and won 2 championships. Jackson coached Jordan’s Bulls to Kobe and Shaq’s Lakers to a whopping 11 championships in his coaching career. To me, this was surprising because over the past 2 years, he had turned down coaching offers including the Lakers. Jackson has never missed the post-season and is a player mastermind. Could he be the key to keeping Melo in the Big Apple? My Big Blue just beat Indiana to clinch a #1 seed in March Madness, I am so excited to fill out my bracket!!! Top 3 performances of the day… 1- Doug McDermott – Creighton – 45 points ( passed 3,000 point barrier, 8th player to do so, passed Oscar Robertson on the college all-time scoring list.) 2- Andrew Wiggins – Kansas – 40 points 3- Jabari Parker- Duke- 30...

Farewell Captain

“Now Batting, Shortstop, number 2, Derek Jeter”. Those famous words from the PA announcer were announced to Jeter like no other at all Yankee home games since is arrival. Those words will not be used in April of 2015 because Derek Jeter is retiring after this season. The new thing on social media is post a picture of Jeter and write #farewellcaptain. #2 is the Yankees captain and one of the best leaders of this stories franchise and of all-time in sports. Despite being a Mets fan, I may respect Jeter as much as any player to play the game. He was a true example to all pro athletes who should follow in his footsteps. Jeter had some awesome moments as a Yankee, my top 5 (not in order) 1- Jump in the stands/ face cut running catch 2- 3000th hit was HR 3- Fan interference HR 4- ALL THOSE WORLD SERIES WINS 5- Back hand flip to force play at the plate out Jeter in my mind WILL be a 1st ballot hall-of famer when he’s able to. But his friend Mo (Mariano Rivera) will be a year before him. Here are some of his notable stats… A remarkable 312 batting average, 3316 hits, 1876 runs scored, 348 stolen bases, 256 HR’s and 1261 RBI’s. He has a long list of achievements including 5 World Series championships, 1...

BIG BLUE tops OSU

What did I watch last night? Olympics? NBA? Nope! My Big Blue (Michigan) vs Ohio State. The motto? BEAT OHIO!!!! We’ll my wolverines came back from deficits in the 1st half, they dominated in the 2nd half scoring 44 points and won 70-60. Both these teams are definitely making the Tourney. Maybe Michigan can make another Cinderella run and win almost like last year 🙁 . If Mitch McGary comes back in the tourney, they have a large chance with Nik Stauskas playing like a 1st round pick and their X factors are a big part. In the NBA, the Thunder and Blazers had a very good game, it was close but OKC won from some bad Portland shooting. The Suns almost beat the Heat but that feat must of been really hard to imagine with LeBron James scoring 37. All-Star weekend is coming right...
