The research is in, the fans are upset but it looks as if they’ll have to deal with it…  Patriots fans are as upset as ever as the NFL official investigator Ted Wells and Roger Goeddell announced the highly questionable penalty of the DeflateGate scandal of the 2014-15 AFC Championship to the Super Bowl after they really did deflate the footballs…

The Penalties: First off and most importantly, Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady was suspended without pay for the 1st 4 games of the regular season. Also the Pats will forfeit a 2016 1st round draft pick and a 2017 4th year draft pick too. Lastly the Patriots will play a $1M fine and the 2 dumb employees who deflated the balls were suspended indefinitely…

Wait, why was Brady suspended? Here’s why: Mr.Brady was found by Ted Wells guilty not for physically deflating the footballs, but for being aware of what happened with them and involved despite always saying he didn’t.

Now what, what’s the big deal? Basically the Pats are losing their best and most important player for the Nationally Televised opening game of the year vs Pittsburgh and starting a QB in Jimmy Garroppolo who’s never started a game (not saying he’s bad) and only made a few appearances (Besides Preseason) so he’s probably not ready. Brady WILL return vs the Colts if the suspension holds up but if Brady appeals which he must do in the next 3 days, he may be back sooner. Brady IS expected to appeal…

In addition to the Brady suspension, starting RB LeGarrete Blount is suspended for a completely different issue not regarding this scandal and is playing in Week 3.

Was this penalty enough or over the top? How do you feel about the investigation?
