The Rangers are in a slump, a big one! Before last night’s game they were 3-7-1. Last year they were a deep playoff team. But let’s face it Callahan, Nash and Lundqvist are out and they are 3 leaders of this franchise. Also they have been on the road for 9 games straight due to Madison Square Garden. I went last night to the Rangers Islanders game at Nassau Coliseum also known as the “junkyard”. Thank you to the Blick’s, Jeff and Zach I had the best time. The Rangers had a goal to take the lead in the 1st period from rookie star Chris Krieder. The Islanders took a big loss in this game also with no Matt Moulson due to a trade sending him to Buffalo. In the 2nd period the Islanders came roaring with 2 goals from Cal Clutterbuck and Peter Reign. The isles led 2-1 heading into the 3rd. Then the Rangers were playing some Hockey scoring 2 goals from rookie Benouit Poulouit and Ryan McDonagh. The Ranger fans who outnumbered the Islander fans were on their feet cheering at those sad Islander fans. The Rangers pulled out a 3-2 win.
Can the Rangers remain as playoff contenders?
