2019 Wild Card Round Preview

Happy Playoff morning! Before the games here’s a quick preview/take on each game. . . . IND* @ HOU: I’ll continue my narrative in this game that Houston is one of the most overrated teams in football. They barely etched out their wins against crappy teams, while the Colts have won against good competition, and blown out the poor teams. — I’m taking the offense-defense balance of Indy in this game, as well as their white hot momentum. (IND 27 – 20 HOU) . . . LAC*!@ BAL: Personally, I think there’s no chance a Rivers-lead Chargers team loses twice to the same Baltimore team. If anything, it was probably better that they loss in terms of inspiration. — I think they’ve figured out Lamar, and will be the first team to completely shut him down. I’ll also take an experienced Rivers any day. (LAC 17 – 13 BAL) . . . SEA @ DAL*: I’m a believer in the narrative that Seattle struggles on the road, as well as Dallas being dominant in Jerry’s World. — This Seahawks team is just too thin and young for Wilson to bail them out once more. They’re headed in an amazing direction though; don’t get me wrong – but the Cowboys defensive sturdiness and firepower with a rested Zeke and Cooper will help them a ton. (DAL 24 – 17 SEA)...

NOTRE DAME and UCF NEED to Join a POWER CONFERENCE if they Ever Want PROPER RECOGNITION Again

We’re starting off the year with a massive rant. . . . Throughout this ENTIRE season, I’ve constantly talked about how OVERRATED UCF and ND were, and how you CAN’T COMPARE THEM TO BIGGER TEAMS JUST BY THEIR RECORD! . . . Both teams were undefeated SOLELY because of their pillow soft schedules. . . . ND’s toughest game was a Week One home game versus a Michigan team who was lead by a transfer QB making his first ever start for the team. I’d say the only game I was impressed by was their thrashing of Syracuse at a neutral site. . . . UCF? Don’t even get me started. I’m not even going over the crap teams they played. . . . But OF COURSE, both these teams shot up the rankings because of HYPE and RECORD! . . . And what happened? Both got their butts whooped on national TV. . . . Notre Dame failed to score a since TD and let up 30 points to a freshman QB who looked like a 5 year senior. . . . UCF lost 40-32 to a “lower ranked” LSU team playing without nearly their ENTIRE STARTING DEFENSE! I can care less Milton was out. That’s an INEXCUSABLE result for the self-proclaimed “National Champions”. Phhh. . . . So with this now showcased to the entire nation, I...

Time to Start Talking About this New York ROOKIE – Duo

Throughout the now concluding NFL season, and ongoing NBA season; sports fans have gotten a heavy dose of Baker Mayfield and Luka Doncic coverage when it comes to rookie stars. Both are absolute STUDS and already two of my favorite athletes in sports! . . . Yet, there are two rookies who have been absolutely SURGING as of late (December to be exact!) and reviving their NY squads in dire need of a star. . . . For the Knicks, Kevin Knox has put on a show as of late proving to be an amazing scorer despite being the second youngest player in basketball. . . . He has truly proved to be a hard-working, drama-free Star the Knicks can build around for their seemingly bright future. . . . Put him with the broken out Mudiay, healthy Porzingis, a likely top five pick, and potential FA star? This Knicks team can be good in 2019/20. . . . Down south in Jersey, Sam Darnold has quietly OUTPLAYED Baker in these past three weeks. . . . Not only has he outplayed Mayfield and most other QB’s since the return from his multi-week injury absence, but he kept amazing pace with Watson and Rodgers these past two weeks. . . . If the Jets can find him a offensive mastermind HC, keep McCown (who deserves a TON of credit)...

Why the SAINTS are CLEAR Super Bowl Favorites

Happy football Sunday! To kickstart a massive Week 16 slate of games that includes by Preseason Super Bowl matchup – the Steelers @ Saints – I have a bit of a hot take. . . . Despite the league seeming to be more “open” than ever, I think the Saints are CLEAR Super Bowl favorites. . . . First and foremost, their biggest advantage is experience. Brees and Payton have won a Super Bowl together and have been to the postseason countless times, as opposed to all of these young and upcoming teams. . . . Secondly, is the...

Breaking Down Jose Mourinho’s Time with Manchester United; and What the Reds Need Next

Now that Mourinho is FINALLY sacked, I’d like to first break down his time with the club. . . . There’s no doubt that Jose was successful early on. After bringing in Zlatan and Pogba, Jose was able to lead United to a Europa League title putting them back in the UCL, as well as a second place finish last season. Two huge positives in anyone’s book, considering the awful state of the club from the LVG-era. . . . Thought, you can’t deny that his failures reign superior in this debate. . . . United has lost an...
