Hey You, Over There!

NFL- 2 Players were suspended yesterday from cases of the 2014-15 season. Steelers star RB Le’Veon Bell was suspended 3 games after charges before week 1 2014 and his former teammate (now on the patriots) LeGarrete Blount was suspended for the 1st game of 2015 for old charges. Hopefully these stars learn their lesson because players now know what can happen in a big case like Peterson…                                        Future Hall of Fame Safety, Troy Polamalu retired at the age of 33 last night to spend more time with family. Polamalu spent his full 12 seasons with Pittsburgh winning multiple championships! Polamalu was released by the Steelers for cap space at the beginning of this offseason and no one expected him in another uniform. Polamalu had a great swagger and the best hair thanks to ‘Head and Shoulders’ products! We wish the best for Troy in the future!                                                                                          Colts star QB Andrew Luck exercised his 5th year option yesterday. Luck has this year and next year which he...

Opening Day Recap!

Opening day is one of the best day’s of the year, and yesterday proved that with some great games! Here’s a recap of the day… Pitching- A total of 5 teams were shut out yesterday by great pitching and as a matter of fact, a bunch of pitchers had no hit bids going into late innings like Max Scherzer and Sonny Gray of the A’s!  Suprises of the Day- My biggest surprise of the day was easily Bartolo Colón with an incredible effort for the big 41 year old.  No Mets fans including me wanted Colón to start and wanted deGrom or Harvey. But Colón lived up to Terry Collins’s expectations with 1 ER and 8 K’s only allowing 3 hits. Colón was very composed and if he keeps this up, the mets are in for a treat. Another surprise was Sonny Gray, pitcher for the A’s bringing a no hitter till the 8th against the Rangers with only 3 K’s. Another surprise was Mr. Hanley Ramirez with 2 home runs vs the Phillies in his Red Sox debut. Hanley had a solo HR and Grand Slam!  NCAA Championship-  Duuuuke! Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils won the title 68-63 over the Wisconsin Badgers who just beat 38-0 Kentucky. This is Duke’s 5th title and all of them are under Coach K. This was a well deserved win...

Late Night Update

Heres a quick late night update on the sports world… NFL- Former Texans and Raiders QB Matt Shaub was signed by the Ravens for a depth position behind star QB Joe Flacco Browns owner Ray Farmer was suspended 4 games for in-game texts to the sideline during the season… Falcons owner Arthur Black was fined $350000 for making high volume fake fan speaker noise and taken away a 2016 5th round pick… Top prospect Marcus Mariota announced he will NOT be taking the April/May trip to attend the NFL Draft and will stay with family in Hawaii. The Hawaii native will not travel to the new location in Chicago along with fellow projected #1 pick Jameis Winston… Scouts who attended Jameis Winston’s FSU pro day were impressed of his talent and excellent skills but he’s got the absolute best chance of going 1st but you never know… NCAA Men’s-  Former Dream team, St.Johns and NBA Warriors star Chris Mullin accepted the head coaching job to a St.Johns team who made the NCAA tourney this year…  MLB- Spring training is almost coming to an end and opening day is on April 4th with Cubs Vs Cardinals in the night…  The A’s have the best record in Spring Trainig right now with a 20-11 record and the Mets (yes, the mets!) are sitting with a 18-11 record in 1st of the...

Indy Final Four is set!

The college basketball final four in Indy is set! My final for was almost perfect except for Michigan St. sneaking in on Virginia… The other 3 teams are undefeated Kentucky, Wisconsin and Duke!  MSU didn’t make it because they made upsets, they did it because they were exceptionally coached by Tom Izzo and playing hard and like a team… No big stars, just a team effort. MSU alum Magic Johnson said that this was one of the best MSU final 4 teams he’s ever seen… Kentucky is still undefeated and still has a great chance of winning if they keep playing well. They had a scare from #3 Norte Dame but won 68-66… Duke is finding their ways to win along with Wisconsin winning some huge games in the last minutes or seconds or just bulldozing their way to victory…  Look out for a crazy Final Four and Indianapolis may explode honestly! Comment your picks...

A Classic in Él Clássico

You can never go wrong with watching a Real Madrid vs Barça game (Él Classico) especially when the teams are as stacked as ever and they’re 1 point apart in the standings! Yesterday the rivals clashed… Messi vs Ronaldo, who’s the better player? We may never know… Anyway, the game was very close but Barça edged out Real 2-1! Ronaldo scored a great breakaway goal for Madrid while Suarez scored the game winner for Barça and Jeremy Mathieu scored too for Barça… March Madness- I’m pretty sure no one is even CLOSE to a perfect bracket, let alone good :)! Mine’s beyond ruined and similar to the world’s…  Yesterday a lot happened in the round of 32 going on to the sweet 16… Moving on… UCLA, Arizona, Xavier, Kentucky, NC State, Utah, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Michigan St., Duke, Wichita St., Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, West Virginia and Louisville! A ton of big upsets and scares have occurred so be ready world!!! The NFL held their inaugural Vetran Combine yesterday which allowed Vetran FA’s to go through a combine to allow teams to see what they have left in the tank… Not too many big names tried out but the success of it hasn’t been found...
